The International Online Mega Meeting Platform is a global community created for Rotarians and peacebuilders to connect, network, and collaborate with top Rotary International leaders. This includes District Governors, RI Representatives to the United Nations and Commonwealth Nations, Club Presidents, Rotarians, Friends of Rotary, Peacebuilders, Partners, Special Representatives, Presidents of Civil Society and Humanitarian Organizations, Community Leaders, Social Workers, Global Peace Ambassadors, Humanitarians, Change Makers, and Human Rights Advocates from around the world.

The platform was founded by Ozuem Esiri Onyebolise during the COVID-19 lockdown. It provided Rotarians an opportunity to connect, network, engage, heal, share experiences, and build friendships and businesses through Zoom and Google Meet, regardless of geographical location.

During the height of the pandemic, thousands of Rotarians participated in this platform. It became a life-changing experience, uniting members of Rotary across the globe. With humility and pride, we can say we hosted one of the largest Rotary Online International Mega Meetings in the world, bringing together hundreds of Rotarians, friends, and families from over 500 clubs across 89 countries.

The Mega Meeting Platform did more than just connect people — it built strong friendships and deep bonds among individuals, many of whom met for the first time. We supported each other, young and old alike. I fondly remember hosting many senior Rotarians from different countries. It was both a joyful and emotional experience.

Yes — joyful!

We exchanged business ideas, shared cultural traditions and food, held singing and exercise classes, organized seminars, and enjoyed international hangouts.

But also, sorrowful.

We lost beloved Rotarians who joined the meetings from hospital beds, isolation centers, and sick rooms. Some of our dear friends did not survive the pandemic. May their souls rest in peace. Even so, we are comforted knowing that the platform gave them joy in their final days. They left behind messages of gratitude, hope, and peace. Many expressed how meaningful those connections were — how, in a time of isolation, we became their family.

We were honored to host Past and Present Rotary International Presidents, Presidents-Elect, RI Vice Presidents, senior RI leaders, PAGs, DGs, UN officials, and countless Rotarians who shared inspiring stories — including those battling COVID-19 themselves.

Some meetings were emotional, even heartbreaking. But above all, we stood by each other — as Rotarians, friends, and partners, committed to service, unity, and creating hope in the world.

And we remain committed, today and always.
